Ignorance of any sort is to no one’s profit. Whatever you don’t know is the reason you suffer. In fact, what we pay for is what others know that we do not know, be it your motor mechanic of your Physician. It is not just the knowledge of the ways of God we need to live a life of meaning ( it is the most important) but we also need knowledge about many other things including the enemy’s strategies. To ignore Satan is to do so at our own peril, there is no where the Scriptures say that. On the contrary we are warned not to be ignorant of the devices of the Devil (2Cor2:10-11). When we were young, there was a song we used to sing that says, Satan’s power is powerless Power and another one which says Satan has fallen into the gutter and we should match him. Well those songs are only good as rhymes and for gymnastics, because there is no iota of truth is them. First, Satan is not powerless, he is powerful, he is the ruler of the dark world and seeks to destroy all that is good and godly. And he is not in the gutter, he has his kingdom in the spirit realm and his agents in all the nooks and crannies of the earth, so wake up from your slumber! You ask, are you trying to magnify the devil? No I am just saying the truth, what the Bible says, to say otherwise is to become a liar like the Devil. Luke 22:31-32 says “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. I did not say that, the master did. The interesting thing is that Peter and the others were not aware. It was not for fun he wrote later, Be sober, be vigilant for your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring Lion, seeking whom he may devour (1peter 5:8). Having established that, how does Satan fight? First he seeks to take advantage. Satan will always watch for opportunities to strike. He will always seek to take advantage of our ignorance, human desires, weakness, unguarded moment and self assertion. You need to understand that the Satan feeds on the fleshly desires and the human mind . He can do nothing without first gaining access through our thoughts and desires and feelings . So he uses every means to get that done. He takes advantage of what we like, the people around us, what we know and what we do not know to attack .There is no way his demons influence human action without these things. Right from Eden until now, he has always sought an entrance into human mind so he can influence his actions and unlike Christ who needs your permission to come in after a gentle knock, he breaks in like the thief he is! Satan, knew what Eve desires and tendencies were, and her naivity so he took her by what she loved when her covering(Adam) was absent,. Imagine that. Nothing has changed. Many homes are broken today because the men are absent and Satan knows what the woman needed and brought it to her when the man was away. Think about Noah, David, Samson, Peter, Judas Iscariot, Demas and the like, you will discover that Satan is an opportunist. I pray for you today that Satan won’t take advantage of your ignorance and your desires to afflict you. And where you are already a victim, I proclaim deliverance for you by the authority of His Christ. I receive grace for recovery and the power to overcome for you in the precious name of Jesus. God bless your day. Pastor Yomi Ojapinwa Full Life Christian Centre Kufang, Miango road His.
Deuteronomy 30:16 (CEV) says, “I am commanding you to be loyal to the Lord, to live the way he has told you, and to obey his laws and teachings. You are about to cross the Jordan River and take the land that he is giving you. If you obey him, you will live and become successful and powerful. On the other hand, you might choose to disobey the Lord and reject him. So I’m warning you that if you bow down and worship other gods, you won’t have long to live.”
Do you ever feel oppressed and strangled by the laws of God? Well, God’s commands bring the highest good. He cares for you. He has put commands in place to give you life, not to stifle it.
What is the “anointing?” The anointing is the manifest presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer (Acts 1:8). When we choose to operate in obedience to God and surrender to his will, we operate “under the anointing.” Through the Holy Spirit, God uses us to do the work of ministry. The anointing is not talent, gifts, or skill. You can be talented, gifted, and skilled and still not have the anointing. The anointing is not intelligence, eloquence or knowledge. For knowledge puffsup, but love builds up (1 Cor. 8:1) and the kingdom of God is not about talk, but power (1 Cor. 4:20). When we operate “under the anointing,” the Holy Spirit uses us in our unique calling to do God’s will. The anointing of God is not mystical. Everyone operates under a spiritual influence. We either operate in our flesh (under the control of the spirit of this world) (Eph. 2:2-3), or we operate “under the anointing,” (under the control of the Holy Spirit) (Rom. 8:5). The sure-fire way to test whether or not you are operating in the spirit is to just check your thought life. Romans 8:5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
